Eine Idee verwirklichen
Das Bild entstand aus der Idee von dem damals noch 11 jährigen Samuel K., einen Löwen auf 6 gleichgroßen Leinwandteilen zu malen. Die Inspiration dafür kam von einer Folge eines Jugendhörspiels, in der der Vater seinen zerstrittenen Kindern je ein Teil von einem Puzzle schenkt. Nur durch Zusammenarbeit können sie am Ende an das Erbe ihres Vaters gelangen.
Für den Löwen entschied er sich, weil er ein Symbol von Macht und Stärke ausstrahlt. Außerdem ist er der König der Tiere.
Über mehrere Tage und Arbeitsstunden haben wir dann das Projekt gemeinsam verwirklicht.
Harrogate 2018
After a very successful and enriching time in Harrogate during the European Leader’s Advance (ELA) last year, we got invited back for July this year. This year we had a prime spot in the Exhibition hall and many were glad to see us back. Lots of people got impacted and touched by the paintings and as team of artists we had a great time of fellowship and companionship together. This year my beloved husband was with me as well and he was an amazing support and strength not just to me but to the whole team. Best add on - we got to see many precious friends from the UK and Scotland.
Nach einer erfolgreichen Zeit in Harrogate während der European Leader’s Advance (ELA) im letzten Jahr, wurden wir dieses Jahr wieder eingeladen. Dieses Jahr hatten wir den besten Standort in der Ausstellungshalle und viele waren froh, uns wiederzusehen. Viele Menschen wurden sehr von unseren Bildern berührt und wir, als Künstlerteam, hatten wie immer eine bereichernde Zeit zusammen. Dieses Jahr war auch mein wunderbarer Mann dabei und er war eine einzigartige Unterstützung, nicht nur für mich, sondern für das ganze Team. Bestes Plus - wir haben so viele unserer wertvollen Freunde aus Großbritannien wiedergesehen.
Pastel taster workshop
Thursday was a fun day with the first pastel taster workshop. I choose a joyful subject that was simply fun for everybody to create. In this 3 hour workshop, the participants learned a bit about the basic material and had the opportunity to create an animal with pastels for the first time themselves. After lots of laughter and giggles, here are the results.
Donnerstag war ein spaßiger Tag mit dem ersten Pastelschnupperkurs. Ich habe ein lustiges Motiv gewählt, dass einfach allen Spaß gemacht hat. In diesem 3 Stunden Workshop lernten die Teilnehmer ein bisschen über die Grundmaterialien und hatten die Gelegenheit ein Tier mit Pastel zum ersten Mal selber zu kreiren. Nach vielem Lachen und Spaß - hier die Resultate.
Harrogate - England
July 2017 we ventured as a team of European artists to Harrogate, England to exhibit at the European Leader's conference there. It was a joy and a challenge, as we were the first ones to open up the arts to a group of over 1000 leaders there, but it was a pleasure to serve them with our art and we saw many touched. Many amazing stories and testimonies came from our time there and we are invited back. So 2018 is already in our calender and we are looking forward to coming back together as a team. I always love meeting the other artists. They are a bunch of amazing, hugely inspiring people with hearts and vision.
Oradea - Rumänien
4 rich and inspiring days with a beautiful group of amazingly talented and inspiring artists in Oradea in Rumänien with my friend and mentor Mayra Pankow (you can visit her work on www.mayrapankow.de - so worth a visit to have a look at her art). We also got to visit the art college there and talk to the young people about how art can create change and transformation in a city.
Max-Planck-Institute
We had the wonderful privilege to exhibit at the Max-Planck-Institute for carbon research in Mülheim an der Ruhr from November 8th until December 15th, brightening up the mensa of the institute with the colourful paintings of Maria Stute, Mayra Pankow and myself. It was a great experience and a delight to the visitors.
